Services will be held at W.E. Lusain Funeral Home Thursday, February 23, 2023. Visitation begins at 11am, followed by a 12pm service, at W.E. Lusain Funeral Home: 2060 Germantown St. Dayton Ohio, 45426.

Bennie Howard Hill Jr., age 64, departed this life to be with the Lord on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Grandview Hospital.  Bennie, (Dunkie) was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 6, 1958, to the late Bennie H. and Anna Mae Hill and proceeded in death by his three sisters, Gwendolyn Leigh Hill, Joyce “Yvonne” Hill, Beverly Jean Hill and nephew, Steven “Ryan” Smith.

He graduated from Fairview High School, class of 1976. After high school, Bennie gained employment with Delco Products Division of General Motors and worked there for many years.  As a child, Bennie accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church.  Everybody knew Bennie as Dunkie, a nickname he was given growing up and throughout his life.  However, as he became older, he also liked to be called Bennie.  Bennie loved his family, the Dallas Cowboys and playing Bid Whist.  He will be remembered for his crazy loud laugh, and his favorite song, “Stairway to Heaven”. When visiting Bennie in the nursing home, he always said, “I am talking with the Lord”.

He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Tiffany Hill and son, RonDale Hill; stepson, Lamar Shelly, sister, Sharon Hill, (Columbus, Ohio). Granddaughters, TaJane’ Hill and Ryiah Hill. His nieces and nephews, Christina (Nikki) White, Kristal Corbitt, Brandy Hill, Candace Hill and Gerren (Shemika) Hill and a host of great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
