His Life

The son of the late Benjamin and Etta McIntosh Wright, Capt. Wright was born in Washington, D.C. on February 28, 1939. He was retired from the U. S. Army following 20 years of dedicated service to his country. He also retired as Chief of Police for the Department of Defense at Ft. Benning, GA. He was a member of Modern Free Masonic Organization and the American Legion Post #67. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Delores Hollis Wright, a daughter, Tanya Henry, and two brothers, Jessie and Edward Wright.

Survivors include: his son, Benny Lee Wright II (Sara); three daughters, Benedette Wright (Anthony), Pandora Wright Crumpton and Kimberly Clark; ten beloved grandchildren, Christopher Wright, Nicholas Wright, Essence Henry, Dominique Wright, Tayiah Wright, Benny Wright III, Grant Wright, Mikayla Henry, Trinity Wright, Braxton Crumpton; two great grandchildren, Brayden Boynton and Nicholas Wright, Jr.; a host of other relatives and friends.
