Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at W.E. Lusain Funeral Home and Crematory (2060 Germantown Street/Dayton, OH 45417). 10:00 Visitation and 11:00am service. Burial will be Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Dayton National Cemetery at 10:00am. Masks are required for funeral service.

At the Age 90, Berkeley passed away peacefully Friday, September 23, 2022 at Walnut Creek Nursing Home.  Berkeley was the second oldest of eight children born to the late Berkeley and Dawson Williams on April 28, 1932, in Oxford, Ohio and a Dayton resident for over 60 years.

Berkeley is preceded by his wife Nancy Williams, his parents, brothers William Williams, Gilbert Williams, Robert Williams, sisters Katherine Williams, Sheila Stigall and Barbara Tyler.  
He leaves to cherish his memory his children James Wendell (Brenda) Williams, Shari (Rick) Youmans and Tija Williams, devoted sister Sandra deWeaver, devoted granddaughter Qiana Morgan, loving grandchildren Brittany (Khalif) Franklin, Brandon Williams, Travon Lunsford, Darrell & Madison King and Shunna Gay, great grandchildren Khalif & Nahala Franklin, special friends Bernadine Lanos and Mary Jane Johnson a host of other family and friends.

Affectionally known as Tubby and Papa, Berkeley retired from the United States Post Office. He was also a masonry who laid the brick on many of the homes on Stroop Ave. He and his brothers laid the brick on the house he built at his home on Union Rd. He loved working outside in his garden and planting flowers. Berkeley bowled for over 60 years with his ACME team up until the age of 85 and walked every morning with the Phillips Temple Walkers.
