Asobo Ben was going to be the barrister of the family after I drifted to Journalism. By a twist of fate death struck and took away the dream of the family. We loved him but the Lord love him even more. Together with his siblings- Rose,Vivian,Ignatius and Samuel, they now make up ‘Team ASOBO’ on the other side, under the watch of our venerated dad,Prince VT ASOBO,Forever in our hearts,

Ben, it is one year now since you transitioned into the other world where you now enjoy your divine being. You will always be missed by me as I continue my mortal being here on earth.

You and I were very closed during our university days and post university days in Yaounde. You were a smooth going guy, soft spoken and spoke less but each time you utter something, one could tell you were a witty guy.

The Almighty God determines our course of events irrespective of man's wishes. When dead comes knocking there is nothing we can do but answer the door. While I wait for a knock at my door, I hope you are preparing a place for me when we meet again.

Stay well brother in your divine being.

Benedict Akeh.

Dear brother Ben, rest in peace. This is not an ending, but this is actually the beginning of your new life. This is not death, but this is your birth into eternity. You will always be in our thoughts and hearts and we will always long for the time that we would meet again. Goodbye, Manu Asobo

Ben, my Brother, it's still like a dream that you are not with us? In just a twinkle, when it's still like a dream to me that you departed this world, it's already one year, same as the twinkle in which you vanished. In the same spirit, I often recall of our days together as toddlers as if it were just yesterday. Time belongs to no one but God and we surely are just passing in this world like a mist (James 4:14) – here today and tomorrow gone to be remembered no more by those that follow. But we were so close that I can’t forget you till the end of my days here on earth. You completed your mission on earth and we are still carrying on ours. Ben, Rest in peace, we will take care of Mom, Dad, Jr. and your dear wife.
Your Brother

Don Grandfrere,
Its hard to believe its a year since you left us. You were such a gentle and sweet spirit, full of humility, full of respect for your seniors and juniors alike. I never heard you pull up an argument with anyone. Peace was your hallmark. HAPPY BIRTHDAY bro, and may your wonderful self rest in peace for ever.
May the family you left behind find the kind of peace and tranquility you always stood for.

Ben, May your soul rest in peace and the ground of our ancestors be soft to you. I promise to pray for wife and your children. May this Priestly Blessing follow them day after day: "The Lord bless them and keep them; The Lord make his face shine upon them and be gracious to them; The Lord turn his face towards them and give them peace". Numbers 6.24-26. Love. Mathias, Brother in Christ.

Dear Ben

I will miss you greatly. As my first brother, we did a lot of fun things in the 70s. Everyone admired you and your sense of humor since then till when you departed. Everyone noticed you recent focus on the things of God just before he called you. May He take you in H? Mathias

This is devastating to learn of this "tragedy". There are many questions to ask, but God alone knows why. That you just became a "fisher of men" in joining the CMF and then depart during this holy season may all be in Gods design. May God grant the entire Asobo family the fortitude to bear this irrepairable loss. Rest In Peace Ben. Sam Fonteh (Pdt Gen of PEMEXA)

i'd like to express my sympathy to the family & friends of Bernard. I too have lost many in death and i'd like to share a comforting thought from the bible at John 5:28-29. There Jehovah God promises, through his son Jesus, to awaken all those asleep in the memorial tombs and resurrect them back to life on a paradise earth. We can be confident that God's Kingdom will bring that blessing.

Uncle Ben was a loving, compassionate, thoughtful man. There was
not a moment where I was with him, and he did not talk to me about life or school. He always stressed that education and work were the keys to life, and I thank him for that. He will be missed. Love, Your Nephew, Vernon Aziah

Ben,
U will be sorely missed. Icons will be mimicked but never replaced. Ben was ever so soft-spoken but the few times he spoke, he spluttered words of wisdom far beyond his time. Que la terre de nos ancêtres te soit légère.

Bro, I dare not say, you left us too soon as I am spiritually convinced that our God's mission for you in this world was accomplished so it was time for you to return to the eternal home. We thank him for your contributions to this world while you were here. Through your family, your legacy will live on.

Grand Bernard,
I knew you way back in PSS Mankon as one of my 'Bigs' and you have hardly changed when it comes to your person. You were full of humility, peace loving, and of few words. You never raise your voice at anyone even at us your 'Smalls'. What a shame you have to leave us this soon. May your gentle soul rest in eternal peace. Stanlo
