Bernard had a gentle spirit and a nose for news! He was an excellent writer, a good communicator, and he accomplished many good things for consumers while at the Georgia PSC. I enjoyed working with him at NARUC, and I know he will be missed!

To Carolynn, Endel, Kellie and Family,
Our sincere condolences are with you all. Bernard was the musician for the Alexander Memorial AME Church choir (Atlanta), for a few years. We will all miss his smile, his sense of humor, spontaneous excursions and activities that bonded us as a choir and friends. Oh, we'll also remember his cooking and fun competiveness.

His God given talents and gifts reached far beyond what was seen or known by man. His time here with us will be treasured.

May God continue to comfort and strengthen each of you.

It hurt my heart to learn of Bernard's passing. Many of us that started with the Georgia Public Service Commission back in 1999 remember Bernard. He trained the majority of the Information Referral Specialists. If there was anything going on in Consumer issues Bernard knew about it. He was really the go-to person on Consumer issues.

Bernard was a really great person. When he retired from the Commission he left me with three things. Two plants that are thriving today. Bernard loved to decorate for Christmas and I admired some gold Christmas ornaments that he used to decorate his office Christmas tree. I told him I loved those ornaments.  When he retired he gave me all of his gold ornaments. And that was typical of Bernard. He could be really sweet like that.

I send heartfelt thoughts to his family and friends. Bernard was truly a great man.

Bernard was a true public servant. In his years at the Public Service Commission he helped literally thousands of his fellow Georgians, both in his handling of consumer issues and in his educational outreach. We missed him greatly when he left the Commission and will miss him even more now.
