Bernard H. Brown, aged 67, born on June 22, 1956, and departed from us on March 1, 2024, embraced his final journey in Vandiver, Alabama, surrounded by his cherished loved ones. Bernie, affectionately known to many, was the eldest among his siblings and entered this world in Glens Falls, New York, to the embrace of Bonita Selleck and Bernard Brown Sr. He is reunited in eternity with his adoring parents, his stepmother Nancy Brown, his dear aunt Mildred Hughes, his younger sister Barbra Brown, and his younger brother Barry Brown.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by his former wife Carlene Harwood and their two devoted daughters, Sharon Brown Herring (John) and Barbra De Brito (Andre), alongside his eight adored grandchildren: Xena, John, Amanda, Giovanni Otto, Isabella Maria, Carmen, Buddy, and Tommy. Bernie's memory lives on in the hearts of his siblings: Bambi Carlsson (Richard), Brian Brown (Cami), and Becky Oliver, as well as his nieces and nephews: Joshua Carlsson, Eric Carlsson (Alicia), Dusty Carlsson (Melissa), Elizabeth Baldwin, and Lyndsey Brown.

Bernie's vibrant spirit illuminated every room he entered, his colorful personality drawing people close. His tales of adventure, particularly those from his years behind the wheel as a truck driver, captivated all who listened. From the bustling highways to the quiet backroads, Bernie found joy in the open road and shared his experiences with passion and humor.

Despite illness dimming his path, Bernie found solace in the warmth of Alabama, under the loving care of his daughter Sharon. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, he found peace in the simple pleasures of life, cherishing each moment spent with family and friends.

He had a knack for touching the lives of strangers, especially during his leisurely meals at beloved eateries. Bernie's infectious laughter and warm smile brightened even the darkest of days, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We cherished you throughout your earthly journey and are grateful to have shared our lives with you. You were a unique blend of charisma and kindness, a flavor that can never be duplicated. May you find eternal rest, free from pain, cradled in the arms of our heavenly Father. Your absence leaves a void that can never be filled, and your charm will forever be missed. Until we reunite, dear dad, know that your legacy lives on in the hearts of those you touched, and your spirit will guide us always.
