This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Bernice Young, born on 1958, and passed away on 2021. We will remember her forever.
On Thursday, September 23, 2021, 63, passed away at home in Great Mills, Maryland. Bernice Arlean Jordan-Young was born on May 24, 1958. She was the beloved daughter of the late John Cornelius Jordan, Sr., and Ethel Genevieve Jordan.
Bernice leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and dedicated husband, Robert Young, her daughter, Evita Natasha Chapman (Vincent, Sr.); 6 grandchildren: Shanasha Jordan, Davante Jordan, Iesha Patterson, Nakia Patterson, Kieara Fenwick and Kennedy Chapman; 5 great-grandchildren: Marcus Jones, Jr., Trinity Jordan, Jahki Jordan, Naim Patterson and Keandre Fenwick; 8 brothers: Thomas (Sarah) of Callaway, MD; John Jr. (Gloria) of Fayetteville, NC; Elmer Sr. (Barbara) of Lexington Park, MD; Alfred (Vivian) of Drayden, MD; Louis Sr. (Elaine) of Mechanicsville, MD; Samuel I (Lillie) of Mechanicsville, MD; David (Blanche) of Drayden, MD; and James Albert (Annie) of Hillard, FL; 7 sisters: Carrie of Baltimore, MD; Shirley Lisenby (Harry) of Fort Washington, MD; Lillie Brooks (Johnnie Sr.) of Park Hall, MD; Pearl Jordan (William) of Lexington Park, MD; Gloria Hayden ((Troy) of Great Mills, MD; and Cathy Young (Michael) of Drayden, MD; 6 additional sisters-in-law: Ellen Jordan, Angelia Jordan, Patricia Phillips (Willie), Diane Mitchell (Vest), Charlene Herbert (Paul) and Janice Broome (Joe); 2 additional brothers-in-law: Joseph Wallace (Agnes) and William Young (Darlene); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents John and Ethel Jordan; her daughter, Andrea Charmaine Jordan; 5 brothers Frances Whalen, Emory Jordan Sr., George Jordan, Joseph Jordan, Sr., and Harold Jordan; a sister Eleanora Bey; her paternal parents-in-law William and Mary Young; a granddaughter, Journee Ava Chapman; 2 sisters-in-law: Mary Theresa Courtney and Delores Young; and 3 brothers-in-law James Bernard Jordan, James Courtney, and Francis Young; and a host of other relatives.

I did not have the honor of meeting your dear mom .However, its been beautiful knowing you as a colleague and you are simply amazing and beautiful a soul- which makes me know that you reflect the values imbibed from being groomed by a beautiful mom and that is so soothing to know.

As you grieve, it is my prayers that the Holy Spirit will comfort everyone of you and wrap His invisible Hands upon your hurts. its sure an excruciatingly painful phase but with time am praying for peace in your hearts and lives. please be strong and take heart.
