Mrs. Bernice Jackson Fort was born on November 30, 1935 in Hannon, AL to late Mr. Jimmie Lee Jackson and Mrs. Essie B. Jackson. Mrs. Bernice Fort accepted Christ at an early age as her Lord and Savior and joined St. Mark A.M.E. Church in the Guerryton Community where she was a devoted Adult Choir Member, Missionary and Stewardess. Mrs. Fort was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Mr. Albert James Fort, Sr.; two sisters, Inell Allen and Lorine Smith; one brother, Charles Dills and one son-in-law, Mr. Robert Harris.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Mrs. Alberta Williams,
Union Springs, AL and Susie Harris, Phenix City, AL; two sons, Mr. Jimmy Jackson, Union Springs, AL and Mr. Albert Fort, Jr., Fort Walton Beach, FL; one brother, Mr. Ulysses Davis, Union Springs, AL; one sister-in-law, Estella Swift, Haines City, FL; six beautiful grandchildren who she loved so dearly, Quintina Williams, Shaconda Williams, Sherry Williams, Latarius Williams, Melvin Jackson and Julius Swanson; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; nephew, Walter Allen; special cousins, Julius Anderson, Willie Davis, Gloria Davis and Edward Williams; along with a host of other relatives and friends including two special friends, Mr. Harley Williams and Earnestine Smart.
