Miss Bernice Harney was the oldest girl of 4 children born to the late John Harney and Nola Mae Jackson on March 11, 1949 in Chicago IL. Bernice confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.

Miss Harney enjoyed shopping, getting her nails and hair done. She really enjoyed decorating her home. The Roses Store was her favorite place to shop. She enjoyed buying things for her friends and family.

Miss Harney will be lovingly remembered by her brother John Jackson ( Debb ), Jerry Jackson and sister Mary Brewster (Garland). Miss Harney will also be remembered by an aunt Mamie Lou Jackson and an uncle Robert Jackson and a host of nieces and nephews that she helped raise. Miss Harney never had children but loved them dearly. She had a special relationship with Ray Jackson who she called her baby and Deniseya Burney who she called her little black child.

Miss Harney  ( Fats ) had a kind and gentle nature. She loved her family dearly and took care of us all.  A special thank you to Mrs. Erin McClorrine and her family for all the love and support to Bernice and  the entire family.  A special thank you to her great niece Deniseya Burney for taking care of her aunt during her time of need.

Professional arrangements entrusted to W.E. Lusain Funeral Home and Crematory.
