Every tree is a living legacy, one which will grow stronger year after year. We picked the Blackwater state forest to plant a grove in Beth's name. So she will have a lasting living memorial.

Beth was taken from us earlier this afternoon following a massive aneurism yesterday.
Forgive me if my heart is not in the game for the next few days. Once I find out the funeral arrangements I'll update you

All who knew beth via "Mafia wars" were familiar with her alter ego "bacon woman". A fierce competator and downright tasty, the image struck the fear of bacon into the hearts of many. And made most want breakfast. Beth's humor made everyone smile, it was infectious and you had to smile or laugh with her. I will never look at bacon the same way again.
*I wrote this poem in 2011, little knowing how painfully apt it would seem today. It was written on the theme of looking back on the carefree days of youth, being a student, or just generally happier times. I dedicate it now to my dear departed sister Beth, who was taken from us far too soon.*

You wished that summer could last forever;
forever and ever to lie in dappled shade
Alone with the songs of birds; and with the sunset
Cumulus clouds resplendent in amber fire.
Back then
It seemed that we were no less immortal
than ever and always blessed to be beautiful.
We flew in our deathless dreams; as if with angels;
Catching slipstreams of destiny's keen desire.
Time spent
In aching longing to hold the moment,
Clutching at fleeting time; and with each daybreak

Beth, sat at the table in my kitchen. Lunchtime (about 1pm ) 8th February 2010.
Lunch was Mushroom Risotto with parmesan crisps which Beth had lovingly prepared for me
