Betty Ann Loyd Radford, 75, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.

A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Luther Martin Vaughan and Nannie Pearl Cash and was the widow of Charlie Loyd and Clifton Radford. She was a member of Living Stones Church of God Worship Center and retired as office manager at Loyd Plumbing Company.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 11, 2015 at Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Milton Abbott. Entombment will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.

Surviving are two brothers; J.W. Vaughan, Lawrence Vaughan, both of Oxford, two special nieces, Bonnie Loyd and Ashley Loyd both Oxford, two special pets, Prissy and Fiona. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Annie Pearl Vaughan and Mary Ann Hart, six brothers, Thomas, Luther, Robert, Garland, Claudie and little Claudie Vaughan.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, December 10, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times, at the home.

I met Betty over 27 years ago!! She always made me feel like family. My husband John Oliver grew up in Church Street and has known Betty all his like. She loved him so much. She would always make him egg custard pies!! Betty was one of a kind. She loved to help people. I will never forget you Betty!! You made a difference in my life and I will never forget you!! I love you!!!
