This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Betty Broussard, 62 years old, born on December 24, 1947, and passed away on June 20, 2010. We will remember her forever.
I remember every time it would rain mama wanted to go for a walk. I asked one day why did she like walking in the rain? She said, watching God clean, nurture, and rejuvenate everything, to her was the most powerfully beautiful thing she's ever seen. So to this day unless it's cold or lighting out. If it's raining I walk with mama in the rain. I feel her arm linked in mine as we go nowhere just in the rain. I miss you mama everyday.
When we stayed in Anahuac/Liberty there was a time I had to take mama to a Dr appointment it was in Baytown and as we all know mama hated freeways so I had to take the back way mama so anyway we see the Dr and as always we went to mama favorite restaurant Golden Corral we get inside and we sat down to eat were laughing and talking when it's close time to leave I wrapped my cookies, wrapped up my chicken and my rolls, so I put everything in my purse mama is laughing at me while I am trying to put the food in my purse without getting caught, so we get up to leave we start walking towards the door so mama says she's going first just in case I get caught with the food so she mama walks a head so started walking out the door mama started making beeping noise as if the security alarm was going off because I had the food she was loud to I stopped and started laughing. Mama did that everytime we went to Golden Corral. That's my favorite mama memory. I laugh and tell that story everytime I go in there. I can here her siren going off still today when I go there.
