There isn't a day that goes by that we do not think about you. Your love, support, kindness, generosity, humor, photographing, videoing, being there for us on every occasion, special outings, and your advice. You took care of Clayton, before you cared for yourself, and never complained, ever. You will always be an inspiration and you are loved and missed very much.

Sending love to Betty's family and friends. Every time we drive past Crockett on our way north or south we call out to Betty and Clayton - for all the joy and happy memories, for all the creative love they gave us and the world. Betty lives on in my feminist heart, bringing her special humor to my day. You are missed.

Betty has entered my thoughts so frequently during this pandemic and its call for solitude. She shed a certain kind of light that brought calm and simultaneous encouragement. I recall one afternoon visit about a year before Betty's passing, sitting around the table with Clayton, Betty, and my partner Ernie. The sun was sending warm shadows through the dining room while Ernie demonstrated his latest puppet experiment. Betty's enthusiasm for the puppets was palpable and direct. Maybe that's what I loved most about Betty: her honesty and directness. Miss you, wonderful lady.

Happy Birthday, Betty. We miss you. We are taking good care of your Clayton.

Happy 80th birthday in Heaven Betty, you are always in our hearts.

Betty, Clayton and I were in the Antigo Wi High School Class of 1957. Over the years I have enjoyed both Betty's and Clayton's art work, although I did confess to Betty that I did not always understand Claytons. Betty you will be greatly missed at the class reunions. From the 80 year old's from 1957...…Rest In Peace....Joyce

Nothing has made me feel cooler than being friends with Betty & Clayton. I was a Betty Bailey late bloomer and didn’t discover her work until they opened the Bailey Museum in 2013. Needless to say, I was smitten with her loose and funny drawings. I still chuckle whenever I think of her piece featuring Whoopi Goldberg on The View advising American women to “air it out”. Thank you for your warmth and spirit. I cherished our friendship. Sending love and deepest condolences to Clayton and the Bailey family.

Oh Betty you will be missed. You were such good company on 3+ Art Lover's Tours. So sweet that you and my mom, Marie could collaborate on the little video of Rome our first trip together.
Port Costa will not be the same without you and Clayton will miss you terribly. All your friends wish you peace and tranquility in your new home. To your family, my heart goes out to you all

I just recently met Betty. My partner Jackie was looking through a list of past artists the institution she works at has worked with and one way or the other stumbled upon Betty's work and shared it with me and we were hooked. It was an honor to show her work and to meet her.
I can say that the opening with Betty was a fantastic night - so many old friends of the Bailey's came, but also so many young artists were instantly in love with her drawings and many of them told her so.
Outside she pulled me down close to say 'If people keep saying they like my work I'mma get a big head about it all' and we laughed.
She will be sorely missed.

Betty was my neighbor for decades. Roy and I were so lucky to have our homes so close, to raise our children, and share friendship with the Baileys. I'll never forget Betty's studebaker’s brakes going out as she was returning home. Suddenly, her car was sticking straight out of the big ditch out front. Totally unfazed by this, not scared in the least, she always amazed me. I'll miss her.
