You Taught Me Much Mom
A mother’s heart is the child’s classroom. Mom taught us through the years. This affectionate sample tribute to my late mother can't even express the love and gratitude I have for her.
She taught us free thought, to do what was needed, learn by our mistakes, and trusted we could do it.
To be trustworthy, helpful, respectful, and kind.
To laugh and think differently as needed at the time.
To be independent and trust our judgments and point of view.
These are some of the things I have learned from you. She lives in our hearts forever.

Her Life

Betty my Mom

February 1, 2021
She was well known in town as a bit of a clown,
had a story for you if you were bit down.

Even a CB radio that many would learn a lesson,
her handle was Dingbat, and you would have to listen.

Betty always had kids around and loved to celebrate,
Valentines Day and Halloween with them to consummate.

Mom was also our Cub Scout Den Mother as well,
with indoor and outdoor fun with treats that were swell.

She loved playing the piano and singing a song,
that us kids could learn and sing along.

Now her story is long and I bet you know one,
that you could share some, you son-of-a-gun.

Feel free to tell your story with Mom or Betty!

Does anyone remember Big Frank and Ed?
Well, Big Frank was the neighbor to the West of the house, we kids would buy fishing bate from him.
Ed was the neighbor to the East of the house, he was a railroader like Dad, and would stopover the visit and tell stories when he would see Dad was home. Very nice guy. When Mom would ask him questions about one of his stories, he would laugh and say "love you still Betty, love you still". Mom would laugh and say don't repeat yourself so much, Ed.
Anyway that just came to mind.
