Mantua, N.J. — Betty Jean Leeds, a long-time resident of the Glassboro area, passed away in her sleep Sunday, the 5th of June at her home in Mantua. 
 Born in 1942 in Virginia, Betty received a Bachelor of Arts  in Special Education from Glassboro State College in 1964. She continued her education at the College of New Jersey, from which she received Master Credits.
 Betty taught Special Education and Resource Room in West Deptford in the 1960s. In the 1970s, she started working in Winslow Township, where she worked until her retirement in 1999.
 
Betty loved going to the beach, no matter the weather! She enjoyed Skyline Drive in Virginia, visiting at least once a year.  She loved Disney and Winnie the Pooh. She enjoyed Johnny Mathis and Barbara Streisand. In recent years, she loved listening to Michael Buble. She enjoyed flowers, especially lilacs and carnations. She loved to drive, always ready for a road trip! Betty loved children, caring for her nephews and grandchildren even in her final days. She was a warm, sweet woman with a big heart, a quick mind, and an easy smile. 
 
She is predeceased by her mother, Johanna C. Levrault and father, Roland G. Levrault. She is also predeceased by her husband, Robert M. Leeds and her brothers, Donald Levrault and Ronald Levrault. 
 
She is survived by her sister, Joanne Blomquist (Ed, Dan, Jeff), her brother Thomas Levrault (Lilia, Greg, Shawnee, Chris), her children, Anna Klinman (Andrew, Ben), Alice Leeds (Martin, Cheyenne), Robert L.W. Leeds (Leah, Becca, Ronnie), and other relatives, Kem Garrett and Kevin Levrault.   There will be a private celebration of her life on August 14th.

Her children wish to thank everyone who has expressed condolences. Her legacy is one of warmth and kindness, love and family.
She will never be forgotten and she will always be in our hearts.
