Mrs. Jones was a product of the Bronx, NY City Schools. She continued her education at Wayne County Community Technical School, Detroit, MI. Betty deeply loved her family and the people in her community.
 

She was the daughter of the late Ralph Patillo and late Willie Mae Patillo. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ulysses Patillo. 

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband ,Tommy Jones, Detroit, MI;two sons, Raymond Basheen Patillo, Detroit, MI; Jamal Uddin (Dawn) Patillo, Detroit, MI ; one daughter, Erica Nicole Jones, Atlanta, GA; a future son-n-law Derrick Felming;. two brothers, Raymond (Christie) Patillo, Edgefield, SC; Ralph Patillo, Chattanooga, TN; two sisters, Alicia (Frank) Norman , West Point, GA; Tamera (Carl) Barber West Point, GA; one adopted sister, Michelle Davidson, West Point, GA; six grandchildren, two sisters-in-law,   a host of aunts, uncles, eleven nieces, two nephews,  cousins and other relatives and friends.
