Betty Ann Phillips Wilder, a loving mother and grandmother, sadly passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2024 at her home in Vestavia Hills, AL.

Betty is survived by her son, Chris Wilder, grandchildren Chloe Wilder and Parker Wilder; brother Ricky "Bit" Phillips (Lucy); as well as loving nieces and nephews and their children whom she always enjoyed seeing at holidays and family gatherings.  She is also survived by her little dog Mildred (Millie), who she adopted last Fall and was her beloved inseparable sidekick the last few months of her life.

Betty will be remembered by her family as a doting grandmother, always present at events for her two grandchildren and a loving mom who was always so proud of her son.  She was cheerful and chatty, and loved to shop.  She had a special affinity for home decor and skin care products, which her family always liked to joke about with her.

Betty was especially kind to her neighbors in her small community, several of whom referred to her as their "angel", always generous in willing to share her resources, offer rides, and check in daily with them.

All of those that she loved and touched deeply, please join us celebrating her life Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at Beulah Baptist Church, 49484 Highway 25, Sterrett, AL 35147.  In Lieu of flowers, the family asks donations may be made to your local humane society or animal rescue in her honor.

Tributes are short messages commemorating Betty, or an expression of support to her closest family and friends. Leave your first tribute here, and others will follow.
