Her Life

Betty's Life

May 16, 2016

She was very straight forward with her words.  She said exactly what she meant and believe you, me... She meant what she said!  She was raised with great pride, among one of six children in Umpire. Her Mother, Oma & Father, Hester Davis were hard working with tremendous "old school values"!  Her four Sisters & Baby Brother all remained very close throughout her life & all lived within just a few miles of each other.  She married daddy, Benny Charles Cole, and had us two girls, Vickie & Cristy.  We had a great upbringing, with so many fond memories that will forever be etched in our memory!  My Dad, unfortunately passed away at only 47 years old.  He was the best man God could of given us.  My mother said, "He was the perfect man"!  And truer words have never been spoken.

She had five Grandchildren, Cody Simmons, Taylor Adams, Jessica Goss, Haley Goss and Ayden Parsons.  She thoroughly enjoyed this special time in her life, as well.  Christmastime was particularly special for us all, as she went all out at Christmas to make our time unforgettable!

She married Dickie Simmons and they were together many years, as well until he passed away with a fast moving cancer.  She endured two heartbreaking deaths and it took a hard toll on her.  Mom had a very caring heart and cared for the elderly as an in home nurse aid, in her later years.

She retired and was blessed with two great Grandbabies, both girls!  Hartlynn and Addi  She enjoyed them, it was a special blessing to her!

She had many great friends over the years and she enjoyed time spent with them whether on the phone, long distance or in person... All the better!  She had a very funny and unique personality.  She lived a simple, quiet and content life until her unexpected passing.  She left behind many fond memories with a beautiful family who loved her dearly!  We all, family and friends, miss her like crazy!  But, with God's Pure Grace, we move on because we know she is in a heavenly paradise where she waits for us to join her some sweet day!

IN LOVING MEMORY OF BETTY COLE SIMMONS ❤️
