Betty Smith Boyd, 76, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at her home.
A native of Granville County she was the daughter of the late Charles and Hattie Self Smith. She was of the Baptist faith and was a retired supervisor at Murdoch Center.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Pat Cox. Burial will be private.
Surviving are her husband of thirty-one years, Bellwood N. Boyd of the home, a daughter, Katherine L. Smith of the home, a son, Charles Randall Smith (Randy) and daughter in law, Susan Smith of Carthage, and three grandchildren; Joshua J. Marable, Alyssa D. Smith and Kelli A. Smith.
Visitation will be held Tuesday July 7, 2017 for 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times the home.
