I was a young girl when my parents became friends with Beverly and Terry Rogers
we lived in Pompano beach Fl. Where Terry and Don became business owners of an Electrical Company.I remember Tom Jones was played alot as that was Bev's favorite singer and we went to a concert to see him. I remember Bev and I going up to see Tom Jones where she got a kiss from her favorite star. I got a kiss to but it was on the cheek and I wondered why my kiss wasnt the same now I know I was to young. My mom Wanda and Bev became great friends and we would go over to there house to visit. At that time it was Myself Debbie and my sister Dawn. We were all close then we eventually moved to kentucky back home to where my mom and I were from. Bev and Terry and Debbie moved to kentucky as well. I remember Debbie thought the trees were all burnt because it was winter time and all the leaves were off the tree. I moved out to the farm with them for about a year and went to Mercer High. It was a great time so many memories. I remember Bev and mom cooking mountain oysters and Debbie my sister and I ate them like they were something awsome. Then we were told what they were and I dont know what one of us made it to the restroom first. I know it was never again for me. We came up to visit 1 time and Bev was working at Shaker Town oh how lovely she looked dressed back in those days. I miss her smile and her words of wisdom that she has given me. And I am sure she was loved not just by her family and friends but all the people she touched in her life.
