Beverly Jean Pferdeort (Longley), born November 25, 1933, to Douglas Earle Longley and Ethel Gertrude Longley (Coukell) in Somerset Hospital, Somerville, New Jersey. 

Beverly spent most of her youth on family farms in Martinsville and Neshanic Station, New Jersey. Her mother was a school teacher. 

After high school, Beverly went to nursing school and became an RN. She worked many graveyard shifts in the ICU and CCU units in the same hospital she was born in. 

The farmers milk was tested and the milk testers traveled farm to farm. Beverly met a handsome milk tester while living on the Neshanic farm. The milk tester, Roger Alvin Pferdeort won her heart and they were married on February 26, 1954. Since the farm house was a large two story one, they resided there for about two years. They lived in the central New Jersey area until 1971 when the family moved to Tucson, Arizona. They remained in the Tucson area with the exception of a few years they lived in the Show Low, Arizona area. 

In Tucson, Beverly continued her passion to help others by working as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tucson and in Show Low, worked at a local school as a school nurse. Due to severe back pain from years of moving patients, she eventually stopped working. 

Roger preceded her in passing. Beverly and Roger raised four children and they survive her at the time of her passing: Roger Steven, Robert Bruce, Thomas Jeffrey and Laurie Ann. Beverly had three grandchildren: Katrina Lynn, Lisa Marie, and Rebecca Sue and two great grandchildren: Mason Richard and Audrey Patricia at the time of her passing. 

Beverly spent the last few years at Broadway Proper in Tucson. She was an unofficial ambassador making sure everyone one who was moving into the complex was welcomed. 

Beverly will be remembered for her kindness and willingness to help those in need.
