William D Nelsch Esq. (Bill) died just after midnight on May 4th 2019 after a long battle with colon cancer and lung disease. His daughter Laura and son Ryan were by his side and comforted him until he took his last breath. Bill was born on August 30th 1949 in Elyria, OH to W. Russell and Harriet Pauline Nelsch (Garries) who preceded him in death.
Bill will forever remembered as an avid photographer who was always behind the camera to capture moments with friends and family alike. He was also an attorney and influential member of the bankruptcy community here in Colorado. When he wasn’t shooting or practicing law, Bill could be found in the Ballroom dancing like no one was watching.
Bill is survived by his older brother Don Nelsch, sister in-law Karen Nelsch, nieces Cindy Oesterling and Kathleen Nelsch, daughter Laura Kissinger, son Ryan Nelsch, and grandchildren Jordan Nelsch, Carmen Nelsch, Mariah Nelsch, Kelli Nelsch, Sydney Kissinger, Kerri Nelsch, Ryland Nelsch, and Dalton Nelsch.
Services and a celebration of life will be held at the Botanic Gardens per his last wishes on May 17th at 4pm. We invite all those that wish to memorialize Bill to join us at that time as we say our final goodbyes. Any wishing to attend can access the Botanic Gardens at anytime during the day and walk the gardens as you please, the celebration of life event will start at 4pm in the Gates Hall. Enter through the Visitors center and tell them you are there for Bill Nelsch’s memorial, there is no fee to enter. We invite everyone to wander the gardens with camera in hand, as that would be exactly what Bill would do.

We are so sorry we will be out of the country at the time of Bill's memorial. We are sure it will be a beautiful day.
Sending love,

I deeply regret being unable to attend Dad's memorial. I called him "Wild Bill"; he called me "Big John" - both names funlovingly inappropriate. We spent a great deal of time opining about everything from bankruptcy situations to the Cleveland Indians. I was wonderful and I'm very saddened the end has come. They will always be fond recollections. I hope his memory will be an equal blessing to you.
With best personal regards,
John Berman

Bill my Big Brother
Bill married my beautiful Sister Carolyn. Both came to my rescue giving me a home and a job. What a young stupid girl I was, but Bill stood by my Sister to help anyone in need. Bill adopted my Niece and Nephew and there began a loving family to stand up to the end of time. I loved your kindness, Bill, as it never waivered.
We will miss Bill.
Bill was our “free” videographer some 33 years ago when my wife, Eileen and I got married in Tulsa, Ok. At the time, I did not realize how much we would appreciate our wedding video as it was not a big thing back then - now everyone does it and pays for it. Bill provided us a gift we will cherish for a lifetime. Thanks, Bill! May you never run out of film in heaven. God bless you and your family!
Love, Steve Bradshaw
