His Life

The Man, The Myth, The Legend

March 31, 2021
On November 14th, 1944, the world welcomed William "Bill" Bennett in Brooklyn, NY. From that day on until March 22th, 2021, a life was surely well lived.

Bill is survived by his wife Joan, and children William Jr, Shannon, Kelly, & Kaitlin. He also leaves behind his younger brothers Matthew Jr. and Michael as well as eldest sister Patricia. Bill was a devoted grandfather to his four grandchildren, and recently welcomed his first great grandchild. He was a loving uncle, cousin, brother in law, colleague, neighbor and friend.

Bill was always fearless wide eyed wonderer, adventurer, and lover of the unknown. He lived a thousand lifetimes in one. He was a deeply intelligent businessman, entrepreneur, poet, music lover, and life of the party. His place in our hearts will never be replaced.

The amount of love that our family has received has been overwhelming in the best sense. It is a true testament to the incredible legacy that Bill left behind.

One of the last things Bill said to his brother in law was "Promise me, you'll take care of my girls." He was always putting his family first and lived for the memories made with the people he loved the most.  With, that said, we kindly invite everyone to use this space to share memories, photos, and videos of our beloved Bill.
