I remember you being away in the Navy for long periods of time but when you came home it was like Christmas and waiting for Santa all over again.  I will never forget my Orange and White doll that you gave me after one of your tours.  I can still see it in my head.  I use to play with her all the time on the porch on Clairmont Avenue.  I would pretend I was playing with you.  She was my favorite doll because you gave her to me.

You will be missed!!

I will never forget the time you walked with me to elementary school to protect me from the kids that were bullying me and threatening to cut off my pony tails.

You have always been a symbol of strength and protection. Your passing has left me numb because I don't know what I am going to do without your love. You have been the 'glue' that has continued to hold our family together.

One thing that brings me comfort is knowing that you are at home with the Lord. I will get to be with you again one day.
