Hey Dad, just wanted to let you know that in a few short months, your second granddaughter will be here. Her name will be Maddison Allene Bullock. I bet you have already met her. I wish you were here so that you could hold her when she gets here. Emma is getting bigger by the day. We're doing good. We started our own business and I know that you're watching over us. I sure do miss you. I know that I will get to see you again someday in Heaven. Unless you want to visit with our family in our dreams. I love you very much Dad. I'll check back soon. Again, I love you very much Dad.

Hey Dad,
We had your memorial service yesterday at our church and it was so beautiful. All of your family and friends were there to honor You! I even got up on the stage and shared some great memories that we shared and a poem that I wrote for you. I miss you so much, but I know that you're in Heaven fishing with the Greatest Fisherman. I also know that you're so happy now. There's no more pain, hurt, sadness, or burdens. Just pure Happiness! One of these days I'll get too go fishing with you and the Greatest Fisherman! Just know that you're Legacy is here and it's Me. Thank you so much for being my Dad. I Love you!

We had your memorial service today, my sweet son, James. It was so sad but it is so comforting to know we will meet again in heaven and we will have even a better relationship then. And I am so glad I got to spend the last evening of your life here with you. And got to talk to you and you talked back with your foot because you couldn't move anything else. But you listened and responded with your foot. And I will always remember that moment. It was so sweet!! Goodbye for now my son but I will see you again in heaven and we will have a wonderful reunion. Love you so much! Mother

James was one of my very favorite people in the whole world. I first met James in about 1972 .
He, Bob Ray and myself had a lot of fun in the sun one summer.
To think that some young teenagers would have had an “our song” but, we did.
It was “Lean on Me”by Bill Withers
To this day every time I hear it he comes to mind.
A few years ago we reconnected on Facebook but never actually saw each other
I should have tried harder to be there for him or I guess I should say to lean on since I was aware he was having some health issues
I will miss you my sweet friend
*Lean on me* will always be our song
Love you James
