You were a true Man of God, walking and talking Bible. Your teaching has carried me throughout the years from the day I entered your ministry. You and First Lady Pastor JoeNell Summerfield was prime example of what God stood for. You two showed us how to carry ourselves as a single person and as a married couple. How powerful was the delivery of God's Word. I will never forget how the Word was preached with such accuracy, and authority. It was like a marksman
aiming with skill at a target. The weapon was the Word, and the target was our hearts. You were and still are a blessing, because our God is a God of the living.

God is willing, I still believe this! So sorry for his loss for his family, congregation, community and the world. Thankful that he shared his life's testimony constantly never forgetting where he came from while not limited by this either. Blessings to those left here to continue the legacy of his and his beautiful wife and partner in life and in death, Pastor JoeNell Summerfield.

I thank you Bishop Frank Summerfield for my growth in faith as a Christian. You will be truly missed but never forgotten.
John 14:1-3
But he was just as much into the small stuff. I remember him standing patiently and smiling while he listened to my daughter Ariana talk about her Little Mermaid backpack when we ran into him on her first day of Kindergarten. He had a certain way of walking when he was on his way to something important, which was a great majority of the time; but he stopped in his tracks for this tiny 5 year-old who at that time could say a whole lot about just about anything. I will cherish it all. We love you and will miss you Bishop.
Bishop Summerfield was a great man of God on several different levels and scales. Dr. Summerfield will be tremendously missed. Heaven's gain and our loss.
We are praying for the family.
When you opened your mouth to preach, we were standing witnessing to every word that came out of your mouth. You stopped and said: "The word of faith is being taught here!" You began to understand your assignment to encourage us on our journey of faith and to hold on until the manifestation of what we were believing God for came to fruition.
Many years passed. Our paths crossed again when you called my pastor, Chief Apostle S. E. McKinney. You emphatically told him that the Lord spoke to you and told you that he was the set man in the city in which we live. Afterward, we had one of the greatest revivals and fellowships with you and your wife that will always be memorable to our church and family.
Never thought you would be leaving us so soon. You will be tremendously missed but we will always hold dear the memories of the great ministry friend you were to our pastor. You fought a good fight and you finished your course. Thank God for the legacy you left behind. You may be gone from the earth realm but Sir, you will never be forgotten!

You gave my child a scholarship which led to a free college career and a position on an overseas team. Permitted her to be a legend in her sports career. You sir, helped my husband and I through critical times and counseled us. You encouraged me to be myself and soar with all my endeavors and to let go of past disappointments, failures, mistakes, etc.. Your words are forever embedded in my spirit and will propel me to the next level!! I will cherish my books and play the cds and read to refresh my Mekong regularly and be a good steward.
You was there at the most important time during my dad's funeral to speak and encourage our family. You trusted my family to do many things for your personal family and the ministry and I thank you. I will carry on with my head high and the work will continue. Our last conversation you told me to keep doing a great work in the community spreading hope . I was so happy you taught "Keep Hope Alive" because that was a confirmation that I was truly walking in my calling. Yet, again you gave me the answer. Rest now you have earned your crown.
I will bless the Lord at all times while spreading hope. I will be that Little God you told us we are Bishop. I will be steadfast and unloveable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord.. His praises will continually be in my mouth. Thank you sir. I loved and respected you so much. I will trust in the Lord and lean not to my understanding on this transition of yours sir. Well done. RIP in Heaven. #keephopealive

Stay Strong Mama JoeNell we are praying for you and your family ceaselessly!
2 Timothy 7-8
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." Bishop Frank Summerfield was a father to us. His kindness, warm hugs, the twinkle in his eyes and his quick whit will be greatly missed. His memories will surely live in our hearts forever. Until we see him again….
I will truly miss Bishop Summerfiled. He is gone but will never be forgotten.
To the Summerfield family, you all are in my thoughts and prayers now and in days to come. Be strong and courageous. Remember, that tough times don't last always, tough people do.
I want to thank you for all the prayers and words that you ministered in my life. I never forget all the prayer session you had in 2012 on Tuesdays night. In 2012, I was in ICU for 2 weeks at Duke hospital. The prayer session at WOGFC saved my life and my will to live. Thank you for being the man of God, father, husband, and CEO.

When the man of God tells you to move over
We all know Bishop was seriously faithful to God work, however the man of God has a great sense of humor and loved a good laugh. So it's early 2000's and some of the leaders flew to Houston, Texas to attend pastor I.V. Hillard church leadership conference. I had the awesome assignment of chauffeuring the man and woman of God, however I was a bit to cautious with driving, and I believe l hit a bump or two, so Bishop gives me this serious look with love, it's like he was saying really Brother I'm running late and you hit a bump and cause the first lady some concern, just Move over and let me drive. l am certain Bishop and pastor Joe had a good laugh at the new recruit. He allowed me to drive later.
Love and Peace

My Bishop changed my life

After attending church at Word of God Fellowship, I took my walk seriously. I was accountable to the Word of God and God. Before getting this teaching from Bishop Summerfield it was like a formality to go to church Sunday after leaving the club the night before too. I became a changed woman and for this I am forever grateful to Bishop Frank and Pastor JoeNell Summerfield.
"Bishop Summerfield thank you isn't enough. You have saved and changed many lives in my family. I am who I am because of the teaching received with you and Pastor JoeNell the past nineteen years. I can hear in my right ear because of your prayer. Purchased my house , purchased my Durango, started my business, survived loss of brother, mother, and dad because of your continual hope , prayers and teaching.
