|On the morning of February 28, 2014, Bishop Tyler said..."I'm going home! I'm going home!" He has indeed gone home.|
This memorial website was created in memory of our beloved Bishop Harvey Tyler, 86, born on February 26, 1928 and went home to be with the Lord on February 28, 2014. We will remember him forever.
"Today would have been my Dad's 89th birthday. He is absent from his body, but present with his Savior and Lord!
"Thinking about my dad on this Father's Day. I am thankful that he lead me to the Lord by using the Bible, specifically, Romans 10:9, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth, the Lord Jesus and believe in thy heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, thou shalt be saved." He also used Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast." I am also thankful that he was an example. His studying, preaching and teaching the Bible caused me to study the Bible, too. I also have taught the Bible in Sunday School, YPWW (Young People's Willing Worker's Class), Mid-week Bible studies and Sunday Worship Services. So I KNOW, as the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:8, "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." Dad is with the Lord because he accepted Christ as his Savior when he was a teenager.
Signed: Timothy Tyler"
"The legacy of a great and faithful pioneer for Jesus Christ lives on in our hearts and minds. We are reminded of him daily, not just once a year! Bishop Tyler's principles, words and examples of holy living encourage and challenge us who remain to press on toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. We thank God for you and the eternal impact you have on our and so many other lives! We are eternally forever-grateful!"
