Lance Cpl. Blaise Oleski, was a 2004 graduate of Holland Patent New York High School, where he was on the wrestling team. He joined the Marine Corps on May 16, 2006. He served a tour of duty in Iraq from July 2007 to January 2008, where he was promoted to the rank of lance corporal February 1, 2007. Blaise deployed to Afghanistan in November 2008, assigned to 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C. He is survived by his parents, Paul J. and Theresa (nee D'Angelo) Oleski; his brother, Bryce; grandmother, Bertha Oleski of Scranton, PA; many aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Joseph and Anna D'Angelo and Paul E. Oleski; an uncle, Leo D'Angelo; and the infant daughter of his cousins, Gino and Jamie D'Angelo.
