Tribute of Blia Yao Her

Blia Yao Her was born on February 9, 1923.  His father is Nou Mai Her and mother is Pang Koo. He has 4 brothers (2 deceased) and 4 sisters (2 deceased).  He has two wives (1st wife died in 1977 and remarried shortly after) and together they have 8 sons and 7 daughters.  He and the first wife have 6 sons (3 deceased) and 4 daughters.  He and the second wife have 2 sons (1 deceased) and 3 daughters.  Altogether he has 4 daughter-in-laws, 7 son-in-laws and 150 grandkids and great grandkids.

In 1979, he has moved his family to the United States and arrives in Watertown, Wisconsin.  In 1980, his younger brother Xao Cher Her moved from Texas to Kansas City so he took his family and moved to Kansas City as well and has remained here since.  Here in America he loves to hunt and fish.  He remains really active during his lifetime.

In 1951 he and his family became a believer in Christ and had led many Hmong Americans to become a believer in Christ.  He has a son who became a pastor, Xf. Nchaiv Toua Her (deceased), has a grandson and a granddaughter that finished Missionary school and two grandson-in-laws that are Missionaries.  He has a strong faith in the Lord.

He went to be with his Lord on April 2, 2014 at 4:30 a.m. with loved ones by his bedside.
