Have you ever wondered why your furry companion found you at exactly the right time?<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Happy September to you, my friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are inching closer to officially welcoming the Fall Season and it feels like a mixed bag of emotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the one hand, I\u2019ve always loved the Fall and Winter, along with the changing weather and noticeable shift in seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And on the other hand, personally, it marks bittersweet feelings of death anniversaries as well as a heavier energy collectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Something I noticed that has been a recurring pattern amongst close friends and folks everywhere, is that a lot of pets seem to be passing away around this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our furry friends truly exhibit something special on a whole other level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In many ways, they embody an all-loving and unconditionally compassionate energy as it relates to their owners, and vice versa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the past week or so, a close friend of mine mentioned the passing of her beloved dog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And they had been around for many, many years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I couldn\u2019t help but feel warm fuzzies and tears well up as she shared about what it has been like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It reminded me of my own beloved cat, Elliott, who recently had his death anniversary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then came more tears rushing in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even after all these years, and it\u2019s been 9 years since he\u2019s passed, I still feel heartbroken when I think about his passing, yet at the same time, I feel so much happiness thinking about all of the fond memories he left behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I miss him so much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There really won\u2019t ever be another Elliott.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suffice it to say, the grief that can take hold of us, especially when our furry loved ones pass, is really like no other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our pets have something special about them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They can attune to us quickly and deeply, attach to our every move, and absorb what we go through on the day-to-day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are as compassionate and unconditional in their love as it can get.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We truly only ever feel so much of that love and light when we are with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And there\u2019s something special when they come to us at a certain chapter in our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur Pets are Earning Their Karma and Experience To Be Human In Another Lifetime\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I remember reading an article from an astrologer that our pets, just like people, come in our lives for a reason and for a season in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They too have souls and in some way have chosen us as their owner for a certain period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our tending to these beloved pets are helping them evolve and move higher in the incarnation wheel for future lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Namely, they work towards coming back in another life as a human.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

Have you ever felt like your pets just \u201cknow\u201d what you feel, what you need, and how to help you? As if they are human, maybe even a better listener than most people?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

I know I\u2019ve had my moments with Ellie, more often than I can count.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And there is something inexplicable about their presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Especially when we go through a certain life transition in our life, it can sometimes feel as though our pets somehow know when we\u2019re entering a new chapter, even when we haven\u2019t fully named the transition ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They either have to leave or they continue to stay during the toughest experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because their purpose is rooted in this perfect timing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The words that come to mind at this time are Nourish<\/em><\/strong> and Friendship.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s something beautiful about the way companionship becomes nourishment, and how that nourishment deepens into a friendship between two souls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our pets remind us of the reciprocity that takes place in the journey together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We literally help feed them with food and water, while they nourish us in an emotional and relational way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They bring that motherly-fatherly-reliable-and-steadfast-presence of \u201cLet\u2019s do this. I\u2019ve got you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a level of understanding that takes place between us and our pets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It feels like a kinship and extension of what support means for us when we shift and transition in our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can even say they are a highly competent support system for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their level of competency comes from that unconditional positive regard and loving energy they continue to send out to us, and especially when we need it the most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this week, if a beloved pet has passed on, give yourself a few quiet moments to sit with the memories they left behind: the sound of their presence, the little things they used to do, and the love you still carry for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or if you currently have a pet, taking in their presence with intention and awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As always, take what resonates and leave out the rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we honor our beloved pets that have nourished us and left an impact on our lives, while savoring one of the most beautiful friendships between two souls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
