I was so sorry to hear of Carmen's passing
I think back when we were so young,Carmen was married to my brother Walt. I remember her laughter, she could giggle over averything. She loved to play games at family get to gather's.You could alwayes find her at a yard sale, she was so excited over the great treasures she would find there .I find it very interesting to let my thoughts go so far back to our youth, only to realize that all we have of her now is the memories. I remember a letter she wrote ,to tell us that she had met Jesus and how glade my heart was to hear she now belonged to the Lord. When she closed her eyes here on earth she opened them in heaven there is nothing more precious than that. Cory -so sorry for your loss,my thought 's are with you kids Aunt Jan
Who she was
A bubbly 21 year old when I met her in Jacksonville, Oregon walking down the sidewalk with her little sister Marla. She loved going to the Applegate river for sun bathing but not swimming. She loved the outdoors. We married in Washington state after I got out of the Navy. Shortly after that my job took us to Virginia where I was in school. Carmen had never been out of the state of Oregon until we met. After Virginia we went to the Philippines where our daughter Coreen was born) for two years where the local people Idolized her because she looked so much like their favorite movie actress. They would follow her around from shop to shop which is something Carmen did always. We then went to Colombia (Bogota) where she later became a contract agent for the CIA. She was very dedicated to her job and was highly regarded for her patriotism and her ability to excell in her position. We had our second child by this time, Walter Jr. After Colombia we went to Thailand (Bangkok) where she continued her work. She was by now a seasond traveler and was enjoying life to the fullest. A large step for a girl that had lived her first 21 years in the same state. God bless Carmen. You are missed by many. As always Walter Couch
