How quickly the year has passed! Bob is still remembered, and referred to amongst those of us who use a certain music notation program. In fact, the other day I was likened to him - an honour, I'm sure! Best wishes to all his family and to all who knew him. A remarkable man.
I knew Bob only as a fellow-member of a music-notation forum, and from occasional e-mails. He was a composer, like me, and unfailingly kind and helpful. I realised he had had serious health problems and the news of his death was hardly surprising, but a dreadful shock nonetheless. He will be missed by many, I'm sure. R.I.P.
Childhood friends are forever. You never forget them. Robert was my first boyfriend - you never really forget your first boyfriend do you? He used to write me poems and leave them under the garbage pail. It’s funny the things you remember. We all have many great memories from that time on Cambreleng Ave and when you lose someone they all come flooding back. Robert or B-Boy as everyone called him is part of all those memories. He was a very serious person - loved deeply - lived intensely - a beautiful musician. His music speaks to many. Rest In Peace. Love you my friend. Xoxo
I knew Bob through Facebook. I always enjoyed hearing his music, and he was also very supportive of my work. I wish I could have met him in person. I would have loved to speak with him about music and to have heard his stories about his early life in the Bronx. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. RIP Bob.
This tribute is for Beebs, my very good friend. We understood each other as only childhood friends could. We shared memories, our happiness and our sorrows. I will miss him, but I know that he’s in a better place. We will meet again, my friend.
