A forever friend

June 12, 2021
Bobbe welcomed my family to Hiawatha in 1958.  As we pulled into our new drive, there stood this little girl in an Alpine type winter coat with a salt shaker in her hand.  She offered us all some salt.  "It's good", she said. We were fast friends from that point.  I know she's watching over us all.  Forever friends...

Determination

June 16, 2020
Determination doesn't even sound like the right word to use for a women that Doctors on multiple occassions said shouldn't even be alive, let alone walking and talking.  Here she is going into Radiation determined to beat the beast growing in her brain (which was female according to my mother).  While she ended up losing the fight, I'm confident saying she kicked it's ass a few times along the way!

Chiefs win the Superbowl

June 16, 2020
We couldn't believe it- the Chiefs won the 2019 Season Superbowl!  I feel so blessed that we were able to enjoy the game as a family; even if mom asked "when's the superbowl" after the game was over...lol

KC Chiefs Game

June 16, 2020
Mom and I surprised dad for his 70th Birthday with a trip to KC to see the Chiefs and Raiders play Thursday night football.  It was Dec. 7th and sooooo cold!!  My mother, i found out later, smuggled booze inside the stadium inside her boot!!  BTW - Chiefs won!

I would have to say the first time I met Bobbe was through a friend Marilyn. I saw then that Bobbe was a person who didn’t let any grass grow under her feet, because she was very active and always looking for things to do to keep busy. She had a great personality and never met a stranger. She was a caring and very much a family person! I’m sorry to hear of her passing but I know she is in good hands with our Lord! She will be missed and I’m glad I had the chance to know her! Praying for her family
