Miss you Mom!

April 26, 2023
Im uploading new photos of the family… your great granddaughter is 3 now, and Travis has a girlfriend named Brooke.  I’m trying to take good care of papa.  I’m a really good Nana because of you❤️.  Danny and Jordan are doing really good too- they are the best parents!  I reconnected with the Oregon clan last spring and it was great.  I really miss having a Mom, and I love you

My Dear Friend, Bobbie

September 22, 2012

Bobbie and I were not only good friends but, neighbors, good walking budies, Camp fire leaders. "Colony Park",  Where our children were all close and grew up together.
From birthday parties, gardening, to what shall we fix our family for dinner tonight?

The Faulks, The Breens, and The Wheelers,  What fun we all had together...
Those monthly dinner parties, saving a $10.00 bill from each couple to put into our
first wine bottle, then the end of the year all of us going out for the BIG DINNER OUT
We actually had more fun at each others home than going out.
Yes, Thank goodness for memories.

Be comforted by GOD'S PROMISE of eternal life.
You my dear friend are in my thoughts and prayers, forever.

My dear friend, you were such a beautiful role model for all of us, this I know.
I loved to be with you, and see your beautiful smile, and hear your laugh.

I miss you,  Forever your friend,  Bonnie

Beautiful Lady inside and out

May 14, 2012

It's been nearly 30 years since I have seen Burt and Bobbie.  My parents were best friends with them for many years until they lost contact.  I remember Bobbie as the sweetest lady that I loved dearly.  She was like a second mom to me back in the days and was just a beautiful person inside and out, and so caring.  I have so many memories as a kid growing up and hanging out at her house with the kids.  Although we lived in the Fair Oaks Housing Tract and not Colony Park, we were still part of the clan and treated no differently.  I have so many great memories from our summers spent together, swimming and BBQ'ing.  Bobbie and my mom shared a lot in common, as they both loved ceramic, loved to work in their yards which were meticulous, and both loving people.  Bobbie, my mom Judie and my aunt Maryann (both deceased) used to hang out and go to ceramics at my aunts business in Pinole/San Pablo where my mom taught classes.  They were like the 3 amigos and the best of friends.  I remember their weekend get togethers where they would sit around my parents round coffee table in the front room and have drinks, hor 'd overes and dinner.  They had the best of timesBobbie will forever be missed by all that knew her.
RIP Mrs. Breen-Stimson, say Hi to my mom and dad and one day we "all" will be together again on the other side.  Love to everyone, Stacy (Threlfall) Watkins

my memories/diane

May 9, 2012

I was always looking up to my sister-in-law---she was so beautiful and so

fun to be with.  We shared a love of home and gardening not to mention

hobbies and opinions!

It was always a treat for Dick and me and the girls to go to california to

visit Bobbi and her family---the swimming pool and her lovely home ;many

fond memories---always a lot of laughs, good meals and card games.

Bobbi's smile and enthusiasim are what I will remember forever

She was more like a sister to me, since I didn't have a sister so I sort

of adopted her for myself!

I also remember the times she sent us peaches and lemons from her

yard---each separately wrapped carefully in newspaper--what a treat

for us.

We got a card from a friend of ours of many years, and I am going to

repeat what she wrote:

I always remember Bobbi getting on the berry bus in the summer, she was

so beautiful and was so nice to us little kids--Joy Mahon

I will miss you Bobbi and I am so glad I had you in my life.

                                       love Diane

The Farm

May 8, 2012

I love this picture. Mom was the oldest and only daughter in a family of five children. Her youngest brother is closer to my age than hers and I imagine she spent a fair amount of time helping her mom take care of her younger brothers. Good practice for raising her own kids.

The photo shows the family in front of their log cabin home on a small farm outside Portland, Oregon. Years later I spent vacations there in the summer that I will never forget.

My memories of Bobbie ~♥~

May 8, 2012

I grew up in Colony Park w/Mary Jo & Donna Breen.  I have lots of memories of spending time @ the Breen's house which included many sleepovers, painting our fingernails, doing our hair & make-up, shopping, swimming, sunbathing, riding our bikes & getting into mistchief!

Bobbie always had a list of chores for Randy, Donna & Mary. I would go over & help them do chores before we would head out on our adventures.

Bobbie was a beautiful, classy lady! She was sweet & kind.  Bobbie's home was immaculate, her front yard & backyard were nicely manicured as well. Bobbie & Bert worked hard together and I always thought they had the nicest house in Colony Park! I admired her elves that she painted in ceramics & had them posing, peaking behind the shrubs/flowers, the yards looked like something out of Better Homes & Garden! Bobbie was a great cook & would make homemade pies & jam.  Bobbie was crafty & also made beautiful silk flower arrangements.

I loved her, as she was like a mother to me. I'm going to miss her! I can only imagine how much Bert, Randy, Donna & Mary Jo & the grandkids are going to miss her! My ♥ goes out to all of you ~♥~ Helene Libert

Thankful for my mom

May 2, 2012

I think my mom was beautiful. She had a beautiful smile and gorgeous blue eyes, cute dimples and a wonderful laugh. As she got older she had this gorgeous silver hair that everyone complimented. She was a classy lady. She kept a beautiful home and was a good cook. She was a great mom. I think that is one of the most important things she would like to be remembered for, being a great mom.

I am thankful to have so many memories of my mom. She took care of us three kids and the three “Piazza” kids after school. She chaperoned field trips, was a Blue Birds/Campfire Girls leader, modeled in a few fashion shows with Bonnie and Vickie Wheeler and me. She made us kids “Wheathearts” every morning and packed our lunches. She rubbed Vicks Vapor Rub on my chest and throat when I was sick. She made her famous peach pies and homemade jam each summer. She sewed matching dresses for Donna and me each Easter and Christmas.

Every summer we drove twelve hours straight through to Oregon with three kids and no air conditioning in 100 plus degrees. She wore rollers in her hair the whole trip and just outside of Tigard she would flip down the visor mirror and take them out. She would apply her makeup and tease and spray her hair and arrive perfectly coiffed to greet our Oregon relatives awaiting our arrival.

She spent hours making Claire’s beautiful balloon valance curtains for her nursery. She was there at the birth of my son Jack. She even cut the umbilical cord. When she watched him for me she held him in a way that he wasn’t happy unless we all started holding him in the “meme hold”.

She loved her husband Bert. She loved her kids Randy, Donna and me. She loved her grandkids, Danny, Travis, Conner, Aidan, Claire and Jack. She loved the many wonderful vacations in Maui, Tahoe and Oregon. She loved her close friends, Bonnie, Lynn and sister-in-law Diane. She loved her brothers, Dick, Gary, Jim and Charlie. She loved a clean house.

She hated dirty windows and chipped nail polish.

She taught me how to be a good mom and to love and nurture my kids. She taught me how to keep a nice house. She taught me how to work hard and take pride in the things I do. She taught me how to love and appreciate my family and friends. She taught me to write thank you notes and to hate dirty windows and chipped nail polish.
