His Life

75 Years Later:The Wall

August 10, 2013

Seventy five years later, daughter Stephanie decided to take him back to his childhood and the wall. It brought tears to his eyes when they revisited his childhood home. The house still stands firmly on the corner and Thompson’s corner is now part of a Historical site.

Stephanie decided to recreate history on that same wall. Continuing his Legacy.

Loving and unforgetable memories

In the Beginning: The Wall

And on this memorable wall was the beginning of Bobb S. Thompson’s legacy. This is where grandmom Kate (Nanticoke Indian), met Henry Thompson (Portuguese man) that swam to shore as his boat sank in the Delaware Bay.

Bobb sitting on the wall that stood firmly across the street from his childhood home in Lewes, Delaware.

His childhood home is nestled firmly on the corner of what was known as Thompson’s Corner, near Lewes Beach.

So many memories of the Thompson family; they owned their own pie shop, fishing boat, fish market, barber shop and farm with chickens, pigs and so much more. Bobb grew up here and what a beautiful place to live.
