Bobby J. Stone a longtime resident of Granville County passed away unexpectedly November 12, 2018 at Carver Living Center in Durham, NC.
Born August 16, 1934 in Harnett County to the late Jennings Grant Stone and Bertha Ammons Stone. He was a member of First Baptist Church Butner and retired from the Herald Sun Newspaper.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 16, 2018 at First Baptist Church Butner by Rev. Charlie Bryan. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his daughters, Glenda Stephenson (Rickey) of Butner, Connie Church (Toby) of Durham; grandchildren, Casey Johnson, Kelly Stephenson, Jordan Williams, Karsan Hardy and Jonathan Williams.
He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty years, Rachel P. Stone; four brothers, Tiny Stone, Clyde Stone, Eldred Stone and Alvin Stone.
Visitation will be held at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and at other times at the home of Ricky and Glenda Stephenson.
