Bobby Howard Richard, 73, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Saturday, March 30th 2013 at his home.
A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late Archie and Clellie Keith Richard. He was a member of McGhees Mill Baptist Church. He was formally employed with Duke Golf course and a retired farmer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by Rev. Frankie Reaves. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor, NC.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Daphine Jacobs Richard of the home; one daughter, Patsy R. Jones(Doug) of Rougemont; a granddaughter, Hannah of Rougemont, a step grandchild, Taylor Jones, two sisters, Christine R. Ross and Betty Lou Ellington, both of Creedmoor, three brothers, Donald Richard and Otis Richard of Creedmoor and Harold Richard of Wake Forest. He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Richard and brothers, Lester, Junior, Charlie and Ray Richard.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening, April 2, 2013 from 7:00 -8:30 PM at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor.
Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor is assisting the Richard Family.

Bobby will remembered, every time i would see him, he would say Hey Gal, loved a blue tick hound and hunting. Butch said hunting will never be the same, but we know him and Dan Currin are looking at us and saying don't be sad y'all will see us again. Our love and prayers to the family. I know he is happy to be with his son, Jimmy, again it has been a long time.
