Robert (Bob) Allen Krueger, age 67, of Phoenix, AZ, passed
away suddenly on May 2, 2021 and went home to live with his Lord and Savior.
Bob was born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota on February 20,
1954. In 1967, Bob’s family moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he attended Good
Shepherd Lutheran school and church where he was confirmed. After Good
Shepherd, Bob attended West High and then went on to Phoenix College.
In 1974, Bob met Paula (nee Weber), and the two were married
on January 24, 1975 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Bob
and Paula had two children, Tanya and Chris, and just celebrated their 46th
wedding anniversary.
Bob was a jack of all trades and a master of all. Bob
started working as a machinist in high school. After high school, he went on to
work for an upholstery shop, digging graves at a cemetery, worked for Arizona
Crane and Hoist, worked for Perma Finish, Co-owned Scorpion Boat and built
pontoon boats, ran his own machine shop, and worked for P&H Cranes. After
this, he started working in the plating industry, working for Tri-star, Metco,
Southwest metal Finishing, and Chem Research. At all of these jobs, Bob did
plumbing, electrical work, machining parts, building powder coating lines,
upholstery work, repairing cranes all over the country, welding, maintaining
chemical tanks, etc…
In his spare time, Bob did everything; all of his own car maintenance,
plumbing, electrical, roofing, drywall, kitchen remodeling, gardening, cooking,
sewing, hunting, fishing, camping, grilling, etc… He dearly loved his wife,
kids, and grandkids, and enjoyed spending time with them. Bob retired in April
of 2020, and spent his year of retirement building furniture, working on
projects around the house, and remodeling his ’36 Chevy Master Deluxe (His
“retirement” car). Bob wasn’t afraid of a challenge. He would say, “If you can
read, you can do anything.” Above all, Bob was an amazing teacher, husband,
dad, father-in-law, papa, and friend.
Bob had the biggest heart and a deep faith in God. He loved
doing things for others, fixing things, and giving gifts, and through all
things he encouraged us to have faith in God. He was always reminding us that
God is handling things and not to worry, and this is the faith that we hold on
to today.
Bob is survived by his wife of 46 years, Paula, and his
children, Tanya (Daniel) Magruder and their children Leila, Jack, James and
Lydia (Mesa, AZ), and Chris (Liz) Krueger and their daughter Collette (Phoenix,
AZ), as well has his siblings Rene (Gus) Koutia (Glendale, AZ), Linda (Jay)
Meshay (Phoenix, AZ), his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Karen (John)
Krueger (Albuquerque, NM), Steve (Cheri) Weber (Mesa, AZ), Joanne (Andy) Weber
(Chandler, AZ), Marty (Gayle) Larson (Kansas City, MO) and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Martin and Dolores
Krueger, his brother John Krueger, his father-in-law Arthur Lynn Weber, his
sisters-in-law Karen Poole and Gayle Larson, and his brothers-in-law Andy Weber
and Bill Poole.
