Dear Bola
You will forever be in our hearts. God never created a duplicate of you, so that there will not be another like you. But glory to God for the legacy that you left behind in your sons and in our hearts. Your passage, too soon had caused you to be known more by many. For some of us who had known you as a beautiful, gentle, firm, straight-talking but very kind and generous person, we do miss you dearly. We love you but God loves you more and wished for you to be free from pains, hence your gain became our loss.
Continue to rest peacefully in the Bosom of God Almighty.

Adieu Sir Bola, I thank God tor’s because I got to meet you and learn a few truths about the different types of people there. You stood out always to me as I experienced firsthand you humility, integrity and uprightness whist dealing with issues; above all your calm and cheerful demeanour even unto death is encouraging to me and empowering to all who really knew you.
Today I bid you farewell once more.
To Aubty Joyce I pray that you continue to receive strength and comfort as you lead the family on without uncle by your side. Thank you for always looking out for others. You are appreciated ma.

How time flies! A year has just gone. Yet it seems and feels as if it were only yesterday.

You were a consummate gentleman in every sense of the word – urbane, unassuming, humble, down-to-earth, loving, caring, welcoming, kind, gentle, generous, hardworking, etc. Yes, you had a heart of gold.

You are and will continue to be sorely missed not only by your beloved wife, Aunty Joyce and your dotted children and family, but also by the so many people whom you incorporated into your extended family through your kindness and exemplary generosity.

May your spirit live on and may the light of kindness, goodness and generosity you lit in each of our lives continue to shine forth for others as well.
God be with you till we meet again!

I only knew you a short time and quickly came to the realisation that you were an angel that walked the earth. You were an epitome of kindness, always looking out for others.

Your home and family were alway ready and welcoming of others, whether old friends or people you just met. Even though work brought us together, I always saw you as family and friend.

May the angels take care of you just like you did others, till we all meet again.

It is a year already. Our in-law decided to leave before the _pandemic_ overwhelmed the world, and wreaked havoc with human lives, what a divine inspired move. Mysteries happen around us all the time and we cannot see it.
Bola went to be with his Creator at the appointed time.
Let's celebrate his life, now remotely, but when the world will reset and return to normal, we shall meet to eulogize him.
Because he was loved, he lives even though he slept in the Lord.
REST IN PEACE BOLA.
WE MISS YOU.

Bola, why did you leave us so suddenly like that?

The pain is still there but we have fond memories of the good times that we had together.

There will always be a special place in our hearts for you and we pray that God continues to support Joyce and your entire family that you left behind.
There was never a dull moment with you, always with listening ears, willing to help, it is rare gift from your creator. And I know you will continue to do that beyond ......

Each we talk or meet, our usual greetings is now echoing back to me,
As I would normally say ‘ Bola Bola’ and you would reply ‘ Sholly Show’, an acronym we both shared years ago in Finet Club..... oh I will miss that dearly.

Continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord Almighty,

I can so fondly remember the years in London, as we joggled our babies- Mickey and the Salami twins. Added to all of this was academics for me and work for Bola and Joyce. In all of this you both provided the greatest family support and I remained strong and successful through it all. Bola was a great husband, father and a wonderful friend to all of Joyce’s friends. With Bola, the Salami home was home to all. Joyce could not have asked for a better life partner. A friend and husband who allowed Joyce to be Joyce. We can truly say this was a marriage made in heaven. Bola, may your gentle soul rest in Perfect Peace. Joyce, the good Lord will see you through the years ahead with the boys and all whom you have taken in as family. Although Richard and I are so far away and the pandemic has made things what they are today, God is very much still in control and we will get to hug you some day in the near future. Stay strong my dear friend, thank you for celebrating Bola’s life and giving us all the opportunity to share in the celebration with you. Praying for you and the boys. Keep trusting, keep praying, as Bola rests in peace and gains a place in heaven where he will now be praying for us the living until we all meet to never be separated again. Love, Peace, Blessing!

It’s unbelievable that one year has passed. Bola still had so much to give but was gone too soon. Bola was honest, warm and sincere with a good sense of humour. He was trustworthy and reliable but above all he was caring. A legacy left behind in what he did for work, at home and in play with both family and friends which lives on in Joyce and the children. May Bola’s soul continue to live in perfect peace in the heavenly realms. Sun re o

Dearest Bola and Uncle,

Time moves so slowly and even after a whole year I don’t think we've fully accepted you’re gone.

Your memory will always live in our hearts until the end of time and we know we will meet again one day in heaven.

Uncle Bola it's now a year since you left us, and I still can't believe you're no longer with us. Words really can't describe how great and kind you were to me, and my kids as well. You were a good father to me and Kemfon, a great brother to our mother, and an amazing grandpa to my kids. I remember all the Christmases we spent together as a big family, you and aunty Joyce gave us a big family in London, to call our own.

I cannot forget when you visited Nigeria in 2018, and you couldn't leave without seeing Aiden, and he was very happy to see you. That was a special day for me and my son. I also remember how you taught Aiden how to count his fingers, he loved that so much, and he still does that. He learnt new things from you everytime we visited.

When I had Alexis in 2019, you were not very strong then to visit us, and you kept apologizing to me for not visiting... I was amazed because you were in pain all the time, but you never cared about that, you were more concerned about our happiness and feelings.

You were so selfless and always ready to do anything for others. We miss you so much. I still can't believe you're gone, it's unreal.

The day you left us was so messed up, I still feel bad for arriving late, I wish I brought the kids to see you for the last time. but God knows best.

I truly hope and pray that you are in the good place, where you'll no longer feel pain and suffering. You deserve that uncle.

I will forever cherish the memories. Continue to rest in peace, until we meet again. I love you. Udy

      TRIBUTE TO A RARE GEM
It's been over a year you left us with a vacuum yet to be filled 'Uncle B'. We particularly will miss your kind gestures towards us and the children ,for your warm demeanor whenever you were around. You loved and cared for all that came your way. Your Gentleness is a legacy worthy of emulation.Your dedication, sacrifice and service to humanity remains indelible in the lives of everyone you touched." it's been said ,time heals all wounds".We do not agree .The wounds remain.in time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it's never gone. We really miss you ,Uncle 'B' .Continue to rest in the Lord's Bossom until the resurrection Morning.
Fondly remembered by Usoro,Tempy,Bobo,Jesse and Anamarie.

     A perfect gentleman.
I remembered our first meeting in the early 1990 in London and you came across as a gentleman and had always been one - a rare breed. Thank you your kind words of encouragement and love. Thank you for being there for us -a brother, a father, a grandpa to Chichi. We miss you and continue to rest in the bosom of the Almighty God.

Uncle Bola was an amiable model to our younger generation. He’d was always want to know our plans and offer some advice. It was always nice to have someone repose the needed confidence and boost. It’s one year since he’s been gone and it’s heart breaking that we’d never have the opportunity to have those conversations about life. Your memory will be evergreen Uncle Bola.

My inestimable friend and beloved brother, Bolaji Jimoh Salami; it's now a year since you left us. Your passing this time last year was a death too many to bear.

For the 33 years that I have been opportuned to know you (our first meeting being at my wedding reception) as a genuine friend and brother, you were so so full of life and never caught worrying about tomorrow; even when in the midst of unwarranted challenges.

Bolaji, you 'never walked alone'; the characteristic of a true Liverpool FC Supporter. You were always there to carry people along in whatever circumstances you are found.
If anyone describes Bolaji Jimoh Salami as effervescent and ebullient, I can't agree less.
It takes greatness to lift someone else. Great people lift someone else, they recognise, they rise higher by lifting others. This philosophy definitely made Bolaji see giving as a privilege.
Good friends are like stars….You don’t always see them, but you know they are always there. You demonstrated and made us aware that doing good to all people, don't lose your good attitude, it pays heavily; 'it's between you and God'....

Your 'Kindness' might have been treated as your weakness, but you still remained kind.
Your 'Help' to others could have gone unnoticed, still you were helpful.
People cheated you while you were being 'Honest', still you maintained your honesty.
People may often forget your 'Good deeds', but you maintained your goodness to them.

Bolaji you were known for your kind and lovely display to all kinds irrespective of whom they are. I believe you were in this world for a journey of purpose and passion.
It's never an exaggeration if I just say that you were special to me and you did make a difference in my life; we respected each other and I cherished your true friendship and brotherhood.

A great family man you were, friendly and bubbly individual. Always bringing a ray of light to any gathering; you were full of life, vigour, poise, ideas, warmth, grace, drive and so many other admirable values we can list.

We are definitely missing your vast friendliness and Steadfast Caring attitude to all. Death has picked the wrong man this time around. Salami family has lost an icon that can never be replaced.

You are continuously in my thoughts, and I will always continue to remember the family (yours) you left behind in my prayers.

Finally, as The Lord God Almighty my Creator permits me; I can confidently testify that at a time, you (Bolaji Salami) even in death saved my life (in a special way) as God granted.

We are enriched by the memories you left; continue to take your place among the stars and shine on for all times.

I still can’t believe you’ve gone already!
only the Almighty God can give us the answers!

I first met uncle Bola with Yeye at their home I can’t remember. They are very good friends with my wonderful boss Mrs Nwuche, with whom I was her kids child carer.

we traveled to the Uk from Nigeria, and the very first time I set my eyes on them, uncle Bola with wife were like a BEACON of LIGHT in the dark!!

Until he passed, he never changed who he was,

may your gentle and warmth soul rest in peace
