ForeverMissed
This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Bonnie McCourtney. We will remember her forever.

Bonnie was born in Alton, IL, July 7th, 1932, to Harold and Anette Hard.
Bonnie loved spending time with her family and friends playing cards. She loved cards so much that often she would sit and play solitaire on her own just to pass the time. Bonnie was many things to many people, Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend. She had a smile that could light up a room, an infectious laugh and a warm embrace. Bonnie was one of the kindest people that you could have had the pleasure of meeting. She loved everyone no matter their flaws.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd W. McCourtney; daughter, Babette Myers; siblings, June Hard, Clifford Hard, and Ann Patterson.

She is survived by her children, Liz LeMond (Dale), Linda Lincoln (Dan), Lloyd McCourtney (Pat), and Shawn McCourtney (Patti), 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown entrusted with the arrangements. Grave side service will be held at Georgia National Commentary on February 26, 2021 and is for Family only due to Covid 19 restrictions.

Please leave a tribute below or a story about our Bonnie for us to share and enjoy.

Bonnie believed the children were the most precious gift of all. The family has asked that anyone interested in donating please donate to  The St Jude FoundationRonald McDonald House or The American Heart Association in Bonnie's name in Lieu of flowers.

To my beloved Grandmother,
I will miss your smile and telling you I love. I will miss playing cards, going shopping and going on trips with you. You were a great grandma to me. I will miss you very much. One day when I get to heaven, we need to play cards. Grandma, now you are in the arms of our lord. Grandma, I wish I could say I love you one more time

It was such a pleasure to meet you sweet Bonnie (aka Mama Chick ). I will always remember how full of energy you were, always smiling and so fashionably dressed. It was a blessing to enjoy fellowship and making the Lord’s supper bread with you. You will be greatly missed. My prayers and thoughts are with you Patti and Shawn along with your family in this time of loss, may God cover you with his wings and fill you with comfort and healing. I know the Lord is so happy to welcome his beloved daughter Bonnie home. “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace”.

So glad I was able to call this amazing woman my grandma. She was such an amazing person inside and out. Having a bad day she was the person to go to. She smile always brightened up the room as soon as she walked in. You couldn’t help but love her! My babies miss their GG so much and ask to just see you or talk to you one last time. Things will not be the same without you here! I miss you and love you so much.

Love your little

This beautiful, loving and caring women brought so much happiness to everyone who met her.  Many of us at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3903 in J-Town will truly miss her smiling face, sense of humor, card playing skills and most of all, friendship.  Unfortunately, due pandemic, we didn't get to spend much time with Bonnie in 2020, but she will forever be in our hearts.  Love you; rest in peace in your beautiful eternal home among family members and friends.
