Branden Evan Parker
1976 - 2014 | Obituary

Branden Evan Parker, formerly of Chester Springs Branden Evan Parker of South Jordan, Utah, Captain with Classic Aviation, passed from these earthly confines, surrounded by his family, on March 22, 2014 after a courageous fight against cancer.

Born in Voorhees, N.J. and raised in Chester Springs, Branden made Utah his permanent residence two years ago. Branden graduated from Downingtown High School in 1994 where he excelled in baseball and soccer. He graduated from West Chester University, West Chester, in 1999 with a bachelor of science degree in business management.

He worked in the corporate arena in the Philadelphia area with Vertical Net, Beyond Books, Sprinturf and Thomas Publishing before leaving the corporate world for his true passion - flying. He attended flight school at ATP, received his pilot rating and became an instructor there before coming to Classic Aviation in 2009. When not flying, Brandon enjoyed training for triathlon events.

Branden is survived by his mother, Patricia Pope Parker of Wilmington, Del.; father, Dale Mallinee Parker of Chester Springs; sister Corinne Stacy Parker of New York City; stepmother Paige Parker of Chester Springs and his extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins living in California, Canada, Delaware, Florida, New Jersey and New York.

A memorial service honoring Branden's life will be held Friday, May 9, 2014 at Stillwaters Presbyterian Church, 643 Coatesville Road (Route 841), West Grove, PA 19348 beginning at 6:30 PM

May 7, 1976 - March 22, 2014

Branden Evan Parker of South Jordan, Captain with Classic Aviation, passed from these earthly confines on March 22, 2014, after fighting hard against colon cancer. He was surrounded by his family. Born in Voorhees, NJ, and raised in Chester Springs, PA, Branden arrived in Utah two years ago.

Branden graduated from Downingtown High School in 1994 where he excelled in baseball as a left-handed pitcher, first baseman and switch hitter and also played soccer. He graduated from West Chester University, West Chester, PA, in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. He worked in the corporate arena for eight years before leaving for his true passion — flying. He attended flight school at ATP, received his pilot rating and also became an instructor before coming to Classic Aviation.
 
When not flying, Branden trained for a triathlon and was enjoying all aspects of readying himself to compete when cancer struck its devastating blow. The family wishes to thank the dedicated medical staff at Huntsman Cancer Institute for their wonderful care and sincere caring.

Branden is survived by his mother, Patricia Pope Parker of Wilmington, DE; father, Dale Mallinee Parker of Chester Springs, PA; sister Corinne Stacy Parker of New York City; stepmother Paige Parker of Chester Springs and his extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in care of the: Utah Valley University Foundation, Branden E. Parker Endowed Scholarship in Aviation Sciences, 800 West University Parkway, MS 111 Orem, UT 84058 so generously created by James Clarke Industries. Remembrances are being planned and will take place in Branden's home state of Pennsylvania.
