Finding it ironic that Brandon, your birthday is the same as a day that is about halting gun violence. Thinking of you today, Brandon and sending love and prayer to your family.

My nephew, my son - Brandon Christian Lawrence, died a man. He died with the dignity and the respect he deserved. He achieved his goal of making us proud. He achieved his goal of being proud of himself. Our lives will never be the same. He made sure of that. Brandon, I look forward to seeing you again when the time comes. I will continue to be the best sister I can be to your mother, as you expect. I will continue to seek the peace of God which passeth all understanding. I will not let you down. It is my turn to make you proud. Sleep in peace my beloved nephew... forever in my heart. [Extract]

To Brandon's family. I was Brandon's art teacher at King school. I am so saddened to hear of his death. Words cannot express. He was a beautiful young man, and a wonderful student. My favorite memory of Brandon was when he was Shere Khan in Jungle Book. It was the first show we did at King and it took some convincing to make him take on the role. He did a great job and looked awesome. I have a few photos of Brandon I would love to share with your family. I am hoping this note will find someone to get in contact with me so that I may send them. God Bless to all of you and again my sincerest condolences.

Remembering My Nephew Brandon Christian Lawrence... Brandon loved his family and he loved life. A 19 year old who had a sense of fashion (definitely my nephew), loved playing basketball, who was quiet but when he spoke he captivates you just like his older cousins Shaniece, Rochelle and Kadeem. He had a 5 year plan and would lay it out to me but there was another plan for him not to live past his teen years......God knows everything best......Its never easy when you lose your loved one but it's even harder when it makes no sense......Smh......Tomorrow is not promise so live your life to the fullest and with no regrets......All death is a reminder to turn up the volume on our lives......Brandon was indeed special and a blessing. I won't hear you say "later auntie" so for now goodbye Brandon we all love and miss you very much

My first love . My best friend . My brother . Being Brandon's older sister taught me how special he was. It made me understand who we really was as a person and allowed us to form this fantastic relationship as siblings . As the days go by its stil hard to believe he's gone. He was suppose to walk me down the aisle one day when I got married , I was suppose to cheer him on when he graduated from college , we were suppose to make fun of braxton when he finally told us he liked someone and we were suppose to give our mother the world once we got older . All these plans were taken from me and I guess that's why I'm so hurt . But I thank god for allowing me to share such an amazing childhood and fun life with my younger brother . In these hard times I have to remember the good times we shared . I love you Brandon and I've always had and forever will. Sleep on sweet peace my baby brother and one day we will meet again . I love you . Forever . Your older sister Briana .

God we pray for your strength during this difficult time. I am lost for words as I reflect on my own children. There are no words that will suede the pain, no hug, no kisses and it will take time for the pain to subside but your memory will live on in us Brandon May God bless your soul.
