A Columbus native, Brenda was the daughter of the late William and Alice Barnes Watt.


A 1974 graduate of William H. Spencer High School, Brenda did further studies at Columbus State University and received her degree in Sign Language from Columbus Technical College. She had been employed at the Buena Vista Road Walmart and Veterans Parkway Petro Pantry. She was a member of New Central Missionary Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Debra Jones and twin sister, Linda Richmond.


Surviving are her children, Travis Watt(Americus), Tracie Hunter(Kelvin); two God daughter, Shauntavious Willis and Latoya Raimer(Michael); her grandchildren, Jasmaine, Jarell, Aniyah, Kelvin Jr, Braylen, Jayla and Jayson; four sisters, Shirley McCormick, Diane Banks, Sarah Seldon and Patricia Seldon(Sylvester); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
