Remembering Brenda, my sister, with her mop of curls when she was very young, sitting in her pram, whistling away, copying the birds, perhaps.

In later years, when out for a walk with her siblings and their other halves, and Marion and Gordon’s family, we stopped to take a photo. There we all were, sat on the ridge of a small hill, when suddenly we saw Brenda topple backwards, and down the other side she went, causing great hilarity. She always caused merriment with her antics, not least when having a little glass of alcohol, unused to it as she was.

Brenda had a very kind nature and an intelligent mind. She will always be very much missed by family and friends alike.

God bless, Brenda, we’ll always love you.

I've known Brenda for over 40 years. We became best friends and were virtually joined at the hip while living in Halton Lea Gate. Although we didn't see much of each other in recent years we remained good friends. We exchanged Birthday cards each year without fail. It was very emotional this birthday after her passing, there was a huge void. She was a life saver at times doing anything she could to help out, we looked after each other. We laughed, we cried, and we supported each other through some fantastically great and hilarious times and few dark moments too, our friendship never faltered. I will cherish the memories, heaven has certainly gained an angel. You will always be in my heart Brenda. Love always XX

Although it’s many years since I last saw Brenda, I remember her as a lovely lady, always with a smile on her face, I know she will be sorely missed by all her family, but she’ll always live on in your hearts and in your memories, never forgotten ❤️

A memorial I’ve set up for my sister. Being one of ten siblings Brenda was very beloved. She is the first of the ten to pass so we are feeling it deeply. She died from Covid-19 in hospital in her home town of Haltwhistle.I miss you Brenda and love you so much.
Your little sister julia ❤️❌❤️
