Brent Meadows Adcock, 80, a lifetime resident of Butner, passed away Friday, January 6th at Duke University Medical Center.

A native of Granville County, the son of the late Goldie Damon and Ruth Smith Adcock.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Butner and retired from John Umstead.  

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, January 9th at the First Baptist Church in Butner by Rev. Lennie Rogers.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Oxford.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-seven years, Virginia Black Adcock of Butner, a son, Dennis John Adcock of Nebo NC (Nancy), and two granddaughters Amber Adcock and Allison Adcock both of Reidsville, and one brother, Edward Adcock (Lucille) of Berea.

Visitation 10:00 – 11:00 AM Monday, January 9th in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church in Butner prior to the funeral service and at other times at the home.

Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor is in charge of arrangements.
