Dear Brent,
I didn't know you long, but the impact you had on people was and is transcendent. And that smile... Forget lighting the hallway. He could light the whole building. People like you can never be replicated; never be replaced. Ik there was a party in heaven the day you came home. You are missed.

Brenton,

My thoughts of you are all good. You were one of the coolest dudes I met at MTHS...We lived in the same neighborhood (Town&Country), rode the bus together, and had many classes together. It's going to be bittersweet as we come together in September for our 10th year Reunion knowing you will not physically be there. However, we have planned to include you in this celebration because you will always be a part of us!!! We miss you dearly and we will never forget you Brenton... especially that smile with your baby boy teeth (lol-inside). MTHS CLASS of 2006

No Farewell Words Were Spoken
No time to Say Godbye
You Were Gone Before We Knew It
And Only God Knows Why

Why Did You Have to Go?

April 7, 2016

WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GO?

Hey Brent – why did you have to go?

Was it God telling you so?

Surely it was just a dream

After all, you were only eighteen

I mourn the life you would have had

Just the thought is overwhelmingly sad

Hey Brent – why did you have to go?

Was it God telling you so?

I think about you every day

God how I wish you could’ve stayed!

You have made your mark here on earth

That must have been the plan since birth

Hey Brent – why did you have to go?

Was it God telling you so?

You left behind your family and friends

All whose hearts are trying to mend

It’s not the easiest thing to do

But neither was losing you!

Hey Brent – why did you have to go?

Was it God telling you so?

May 3rd was the day your car was broken and bent

It was also the day of your glorious ascent

I guess this is how your life was to be told

Born to live to eighteen years old

Hey Brent – why did you have to go?

Was it God telling you so?

Your spirit touched those who needed you most

Your body was just merely the host

I love you Brent with all of my heart

I will see you again when it’s my turn to part

I guess it was your time to go

You must of heard God telling you so!
