New Years Eve

February 1, 2019

One of my forever favorite stories of Brett was on New Years Eve. We were doing his “Benson swing dance” that he taught everyone how to do, when my flannel I was wearing ripped up my back. I was so embarrassed that I almost started crying. Of course, he knew what to do when he realized why my eyes were filling up with tears so he spun me around so nobody could see my back and pretended that stripping off my flannel was part of his “dance”. He then proceeded to put on my flannel and say that he ripped it. After we were done dancing someone came up to us and said how good of a dancer he was (not me, of course because I have two left feet) and said “you owe her a new flannel” and I laughed along and jokingly said how it was my favorite and he ripped it. One of many stories that shows his huge heart
