Brian Keith Adcock, 46, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his home.

He was the son of the late Otha Howard and Barbara Jean Adcock. He was born in Vance County but lived most of his life in the Mt. Creek community. He was of the Baptist faith and was medically retired.

Memorial services will be conducted at 7:30 PM Thursday, September 19, 2013 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Johnny Richards.

Surviving are a sister, Cynthia Renee Conyers of Franklinton, a special niece, Marie “Sissy” Adcock of Oxford, a special nephew, Brandon Adcock of Butner,  nieces , Shelby Adcock of Timberlake, Casey, Victoria , Makenzie Conyers , all of Franklinton, and nephews, Jonathan Adcock , David Adcock, Kevin Adcock and James Adcock, all of Oxford. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jessica Adcock, brothers David Adcock, Howard Adcock and Barry Adcock.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Creek Baptist Church, 2136 Mountain Creek Road, Oxford, NC 27565 or to Granville Co. Animal Shelter, 5650 Cornwall Road, Oxford, NC 27565.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening September 19, 2013 from 6:00-7:30 PM prior to the memorial service at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home of Renee Conyers.

Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford is assisting the Adcock family.

It is still hard to believe he is gone. We let days & weeks pass, putting off a visit or a phone call...taking for granted there will always be another opportunity "later". We should appreciate our friends & loved-ones while they are here...no-one is promised another "tomorrow". I hope Peace, Love, and Special Memories give ya'll strength!! Love U!!

Renee, your family was always part of my life. I have watched you grow, survive, and overcome many obstacles. I know that Keith loved you and was Very proud of you. He was a Special Friend...he will be missed. I love you and want you to know that I will always be here for you. Hold on to the Happy memories...he would want you to smile!
