I Miss You My Friend. I often get reminders from FB. Some of the things we did together and shared some struggles. I was just telling a friend of mine about our Sonics vs Kings game and the Vlady Shoes. Lol.
We had Wing Dome Wings and a ton of laughs.

RIP Brian

Brian had an amazing zest for life which I will always remember. He could light up a room just by walking in because he exudded friendliness and humor. During the training for our deployment he and an NCO conspired to convince the headquarters section that he had an uncle named Ray (who spoke with thick Jersey accent) who would incesenlty call the headquarters asking them innane questions and talking pointless stories about his own time in the Navy (back in the day when people were tough). On some of the long tiring stressful days we could have dozens of guys rolling on the ground laughing as they staged the prank calls which the office came to anticipte with equal parts ammusment and dread.
Even with that playful side he took to Army skills very quicky because of his possitive attitude and good mind, so that even though his prior service was Navy you could not tell him apart from the fully qualified Scouts right from the beginning.
I don't know how to finish without being cliche, Skinny was an original and because of that he will always be remembered.

To the Novak family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I served with Brian and he was a great friend. He always made us laugh and always had a smile on his face. On this veterans day I want to say thank you. May god give you peace and comfort you in your loss. He will always be remembered. Rest in peace Brian. I will see you in heaven when our fellow brothers in arms past , present, and future report for final formation.

Just reading this obituary saddens me. To think that this young man lost his life at the age of 38 is devastating. Please accept my deepest condolence to Brian's children, parents, siblings, family, and friends. I am very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort and true hope for our loved ones in Jehovah God's word the bible. Two, of many comforting scriptures I like are, Revelation 21: 3-5 and Psalms 37: 10, 11.
I will pray for your family during this difficult time.

I want to say to the Family that I am so, so sorry for your loss. Brian "Skinny" Novak was a Great Father, Military Man and Friend. Making this note has taken me days to write as I think of all of our wonderful memories. From the first day I met him I knew he was a Man that I wanted to have as a friend. I was his Platoon Sergeant and then First Sergeant on our first Deployment. During our Deployment he was my Driver. I could not have had a better Man watching my back and makeing sure our Crew, Section and Men got to where we were going and then back to safety. I have so many stories from Me giving him his Nickname, Skinny. I am very fortunate to have known him and I will miss him every day. If there is ever anything I can do please don't hesitate to contact me. I am sorry I couldn't make it out for the Memorial. I will help Amy in June. I hope you can make it out, I would Love to meet his Wonderful Family.

I am beyond sad. Brian was a wonderful young man that coach Morrison and I loved to have on the field and in class. My deepest condolences to Brian's family and friends. I am in shock. I pray he is with Ed and enjoying terrific conversations about shared memories. I am so sorry for your loss and I can't stop my tears.

Brian, I will always remember all of our practices down at the "LOWER 40", you were one of the toughest people I ever knew, and also one of the nicest people I ever knew.

Big Brian, I will always remember our time together and all the fun I had watching you and Chris with your bedroom wars, seeing your entire bedroom set up in the bathroom was the best, we all laughed for hours, your supporting personally was contagious, I only knew you for a short time, but we were instant brothers, we bled on the same sand, your a true hero, it was a honor to know you. I'll see you at the extract point, keep it secure for me because when my time comes I'll be coming in hot. I love you bro, you will be missed by all and never forgotten, Hooyah staff Sargent Novak. Please watch over us and keep us all safe, forever love brother.

I went through two tours in Iraq with you...I hope you are where you need to be and doing what you need to do. Because that's what we do...all of us, no matter the age or rank. I wasn't your best friend or part of your team, but I was on the other team and I watched as we accomplished the same goals. God speed Brian Novak...we will meet again.

My deepest condolences to your family. I am a friend to Amy and Brian. My son's, Bill and Jon were involved with Brian's skate shop, Inversion in Blaine and we're good friends with Brian. Brian made time for all the skaters and went out of his way to help in any way. Bill and Jon went to skate competitions and even snowboarded with Brian. Mark and I made it a habit to shop and support Brian's skate shop even when he closed it. It was a pleasure to have known Brian for several years. He will be greatly missed but his memories will remain. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

 Dear Big Brian,
   From the very first day we met we clicked because of our sense of humor and personalities. We weren't in eachothers lives for very long but in that short period of time we made a great friendship. You always made sure me and our FRAT family stayed positive in a environment that was very easy to get lost in negativy. Also once again Thank You so much for surprising me with some groceries last week after telling you my new living situation. I know you up there making the big man laugh and brother please Watch My Six while Im in my current living situation. REST IN PEACE
