I have so many memories of the summer before our first year of college, but this time of year in the winter I remember you coming home with the broken leg , - your dreams of being a football star were crushed. I tried to give you positve advice, about being a coach or sportscaster instead. But we both knew your dream was broken and it almost killed us both. I remember spending holiday break with you all the fun we had together. Even if you were on crutches. when you went back to  minnesota, I remember I was so bummed out I drank almost whole bottle of tequila myself. well that was a lesson learned , i swore off tequela after that, I never drank tequila again. and as life would have it, the events of later that winter, changed our lives forever. and although we went our separate ways - my heart always held a special secret place for you, and as Valentine's Day and  your birthday draw near, the memory of you and me and yesteryear feels like yesterday. Saying good bye is such sweet sorrow.
